If your sanitary service needs replacement or is in good condition but needs a smaller pipe repair we can help. No job is too big or too small. We complete pipe repairs using various methods of excavation such as mechanical excavation (trenching) or hydrovac excavation. These methods can be used to replace entire services, repair breaks, collapses, or cracked sections of pipe.
This work can also be done inside your basement if your pipe underneath your concrete floor is broken. Using video inspection and tracking equipment we will locate the exact area where the line needs to be replaced. We excavate as needed to expose the broken pipe and then install a small new section of pipe to replace the defective area. All repairs completed by Thuro Inc. will be installed to City of Calgary specifications including proper bedding of the pipe and using the high quality Fernco connections. The two connections on either side of the new section of pipe are also completely sealed using perma-seal.
Full replacements take 2-3 days depending on the depth, length of the line, conflicts in the excavation area and ground conditions. Although the work takes a few days, the sewer and water restriction needed for a full replacement is minimal. In most cases it is only 2-3 hours. If there are conflicts in the excavation area such as concrete, gardens, or garages we also offer trenchless methods of repair. Check out our Lining & Pipe Burst pages for more info
A small pipe repair can completed in 1 day. As the pipe repair is quick you won’t have extended sewer or water restrictions. Typical time without service is only a couple of hours. Because these repairs don’t take as long as full replacements they cost less too.
