NASSCO PACP Training
At Thuro inc. all inspection staff are certified in NASSCO PACP (Pipe Assessment Certification Program). This results in our technicians knowing what they’re looking for when they inspect underground pipe. Not only do they know what to look for, Thuro employees are held to the highest quality reporting standards and the best industry practices. All inspection staff maintain their certification with a refresher course every 3 years. Thuro Inc. also hosts NASSCO PACP classes at our office in Calgary various times throughout the year. A simple way to identifying defects in underground pipe
The National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Pipe Assessment and Certification Program (PACP) makes it easy to communicate underground pipe problems. The easy to understand report format allows a common interpretation of the inspection information while a standard format helps avoid disputes and increase well-informed decisions on maintenance and rehabilitation. PACP has been used in Western Europe and the USA for over 35 years, but since 2012 NASSCO has also become the standard format used in Canada.
Knowledge is power
Thuro has pride in being a pioneer in the Sewer & Water industry. Certification through NASSCO PACP Classes ensures that technicians understand the problems found in underground pipe. It breaks defects down into categories such as maintenance and structural defects and provides an in depth explanation of any issue that could exist in underground pipe. Maintenance issues are problems such as grease build-up or mineral deposits. Sturcural issues on the other hand are more serious. They include cracks, fractures or full collapse of the pipe.
NASSCO certification proves Thuro technicans know the difference between a crack and a fracture, a sag and a dropped pipe, grease or water deposits. You can trust that Thuro Inc. technicians actually know what they’re talking about.
